One of the most exciting occurrences on my trip home was not a wonderful Christmas (which I did have, however), was not cooking my parents a good meal and making them realize that I am capable of feeding myself decently enough, and it was not seeing good friends after my long absence: it was something for more pedestrian. Trying to get back in the habit
It’s hard coming back here and writing about my life when I am actually out there living it, you know? I’ve been having wayyy too much fun the past few weeks, and then had wayy too much work last week. I cranked out two 4000 word essays and a research proposals to turn in last Friday, while also cooking birthday dinner for Gwynaeth. Tasty Hamburgers, decent bananas foster. English?
A drunk Scotswoman at the bar the other night believed that English was my second language. I’m very happy that my language skills are such that it sounds like i know another one first. Sadly, English is the only one.
This morning I woke up a half hour before my alarm and ate a bowl of cold cous cous. I’m catching a flight home. Newark, here I come.

I figured a month without my blabbing was a good idea
Maybe I was wrong. I’ve decided I don’t need sleep. Also, I’ve managed to set off the fire alarm and completely baffle myself as to what ot pack to go home. I leave St Andrews in 3 hours. Yikes. In the meantime, I’m to go shop for xmas gifts. Be home Tuesday.
